Programme 1: Sports for Transformation
Structured sports activities build discipline, teamwork, conflict resolution, and community unity across ethnic and religious lines — delivered in close collaboration with Suns Academy as our primary sports development partner.
Target: Youth and community members
Key activities: Tournaments, leagues, sports clinics

Programme 2: Education & Sensitisation
Creating awareness around social issues — moral decline, conflict, and parenting — using sports events as mobilisation platforms.
Target: Youth, parents, community leaders
Key activities: Workshops, seminars, campaigns during sporting events

Programme 3: Athlete Development & Life Skills
Preparing athletes for life beyond active sport — career skills, financial literacy, and leadership development, powered by Suns Academy's sports expertise and Suns Initiative's social impact mission.
Target: Active and retired athletes

Programme 4: Food the Body, Feed the Soul
A holistic outreach programme that nourishes communities physically and spiritually — combining food support, shared meals, and faith-centred engagement with community mobilisation through sport. We use tournaments, peace-building events, and outreach drives to bring together communities divided by ethnic, tribal, or religious differences, many co-hosted with Suns Academy on and off the field.
Target: Communities across Jos and environs

Programme 5: Project T.I.M
Teach basketball. Impact sound knowledge. Make disciples
A 12-week mentorship initiative offering kids, teens, and youth the chance to cultivate fundamental basketball skills, gain valuable knowledge, and undergo discipleship — fostering proper growth and development to help them reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Youth are matched with mentors from sports, business, and civil society — including coaches and leaders from the Suns Academy network — to fill the gap in responsible adult guidance. The programme also provides an alternative learning system that helps participants build life skills and essential knowledge for navigating life's inevitable challenges.
Target: Kids, teens, and youth aged 12–25
Key activities: Basketball skills training, one-on-one mentoring, group mentorship sessions, career talks, discipleship, life-skills workshops

Programme 6: Suns Scholarship Scheme (SSS)
This project focuses on creating opportunities for less privileged and financially challenged individuals in both rural and urban communities to attain basic education at zero cost.
Target: Less privileged children and youth in rural and urban communities
Key activities: Scholarship awards, school fee support, educational outreach in rural and urban communities

Programme 7: Street Ball
Sports as a unifying factor — Street Ball is a peace-oriented programme that uses outdoor and street sporting activities to mobilize and sensitize individuals from diverse groups on the demerits of chaos and the prevailing power of peaceful coexistence.
Target: Youth and community members across diverse social and religious groups
Key activities: Outdoor tournaments, street sports clinics, peace-building sensitisation drives

Programme 8: The Suns Sports Clinic & Camp
A combined sports development experience for young athletes — beginning with a three-day intensive clinic focused on basketball and volleyball, followed by a five-day residential basketball camp for an immersive training experience. Together, these sessions inspire and empower the next generation through high-quality coaching, mentorship, character-building, and lasting peer relationships.
Target: Children and teenagers aged 5–19, young basketball athletes

Programme 9: Suns Basketball Academy (SBA)
A year-round basketball programme for children and teenagers, delivered in collaboration with Suns Academy. SBA provides a structured and supportive environment for young athletes to develop their basketball skills and grow as individuals. The academy is open to players of all skill levels, with a curriculum designed to meet the needs of each athlete.
